Calling all agents of change:
Please joing us for ECO Camp 2010
There are still spaces available for the August 1st long weekend – just a few weeks away. We are offering an all-inclusive, reasonably priced, full weekend of the Work That Reconnects (WTR) emotional intelligence and resilience training for change agents. This is a camp for all ages, youth to elder (minimum age 16). We have planned a great combination of structured WTR workshop activities, time alone in nature, Council of All Beings in a woodland chapel, and plenty of ‘down’ and community time. Bring your drum and musical instruments, swim in the pool, play and hike in 735 acres of Carolinian forest, and camp out, bunk it, or stay in a local B&B. We hope you will join us for a great long weekend at Camp Wetaskiwin (‘Hills of Peace’ or ‘Hills Where Peace is Made’).
“People come to workshops counting on the freedom they'll find to tell the truth about what they see happening to our world; and they come ready to take themselves seriously as agents of change.”
- Joanna Macy, April 6, 2010 (www.joannamacy.net)
We add to Joanna’s words, only that we come to ECO Camp 2010 to build community and have a lot of fun while taking ourselves seriously. It’s a good old–fashioned camp experience, reminiscent of childhood camp, but with better food! If you’ve wanted to participate in a WTR workshop, this is a great opportunity in a wonderful location.Work That Reconnects ECO camp
